Digital toner foil is more convenient and more flexible than the traditional hot stamping foil, so personalized and customized printing needs can be achieved, and it is suitable for small batch production.
How to apply the digital toner foil to the digital printing? Follow my step.
Materials:
•EKO digital toner foil
•Coated paper
•Laser printing with toner
•Heat laminator
Create a digitalized design
Use the design software like Photoshop to make your design, any digital design will work as long as it is entirely black ink.
Print the design
The printer we use is incredibly important for this process to work. It must be a laser printer that uses laser toner – not inkjet. It’s suggested to used coated paper to print. Coated paper is generally smoother and has a harder surface than regular paper, so toner may adhere better to coated paper. This will make the finished more beautiful.
Foiling
Turn on the laminator, using mini laminator or regular laminator is ok. The foiling temperature of EKO’ s digital toner foil is 85℃~90℃, so set the laminator to the temperature in this range. Apply the foil colored side up, resting the dull side against the paper. Smooth out the foil as much as possible before putting it through. Once your print has gone through the laminator it’s time to peel.
