Pre-coating film is widely used in the packaging and printing industry because of its advantages such as high efficiency, easy operation, and environmental protection. However, during use, we may encounter various problems. So, how do we solve them?
Here are two of the common problems:
Bubbling
Reason1: Surface contamination of the printings or thermal lamination film
If there are dust, grease, moisture and other contaminants on the surface of the object before the pre-coating film is applied, these contaminants can cause the film to bubble.
Solution: Before laminating, make sure the surface of the object is clean, dry and free of contaminants.
Reason2: Improper temperature
If the temperature during the laminating is too high or too low, it may cause the coating to bubble.
Solution: Ensure that the temperature during the lamination process is appropriate and stable.
Reason3: Repeated laminating
If too much coating is applied during lamination, the coating during lamination may exceed its maximum tolerated thickness, causing bubble.
Solution: Make sure you apply the right amount of coating during the lamination process.
Warping
Reason1: Improper temperature
Improper temperature during the laminating process may cause edge warping. If the temperature is too high, it may cause the coating to dry quickly, causing warping. Conversely, if the temperature is too low, the coating will take longer to dry and may cause warping.
Solution: Ensure that the temperature during the lamination process is appropriate and stable.
Reason2: Uneven laminating tension
During the laminating process, if the laminating tension is uneven, the tension differences in different parts may cause deformation and warping of the film material.
Solution: Pay attention to adjusting the lamination tension to ensure uniform tension in each part.
